Sometimes it's the destination
Sometimes it's the journey.
Which one varies for each individual
and each set of circumstances.

Remember: What's right for you
may not be right for someone else.

Spontaneous Magic – that’s what I hope you will see in my photography.
Through my photography I try to convey my unique perception of the world.
My observation is that most people are too busy with their daily lives to
notice the small, magical moments that occur everywhere every day.
Ice storms, snowstorms in the middle of the night, a bird perched on a tombstone,
fog-shrouded construction workers.
These are all events that render the mundane -- magical.
Being in that place, at that time – and recognizing it is the trick.
I strive to ‘freeze’ these moments in time and capture that unique event when,
for this single point in time, the small part of the universe where I am standing
is displayed in a manner that may never come again.

Time-Exposure photography – in the middle of the night --
remains my favorite method of expression.
It’s that time when the absence of daylight – and the presence of artificial illumination
brings a new perspective to everyday shapes.
The two biggest thrills for me are when I’ve taken that ‘right’ photograph – and I know it.
And when someone sees the final result and ‘gets’ it.
I hope my work moves you to look at your surroundings with new eyes.
